The Hikvision DS-2CD2121G0-I is a durable 2MP WDR Fixed Dome Network Camera designed for reliable indoor and outdoor security. Built with a 1/2.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor, it captures crisp 1080p Full HD video at 1920 × 1080 resolution, delivering smooth real-time monitoring across commercial, retail, and residential environments.

How does it perform under complex light conditions and low light?

Featuring hardware-based 120 dB True WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) and 3D Digital Noise Reduction (3D DNR), this dome camera delivers clear, balanced image quality in high-contrast or heavily backlit settings. In total darkness, integrated EXIR 2.0 infrared LEDs supply uniform black-and-white night vision reaching up to 30 meters without reflection artifacts typical of traditional dome glass.

What storage options and encoding efficiencies are offered?

Equipped with H.265+ smart video compression, the DS-2CD2121G0-I significantly optimizes network bandwidth and lowers NVR storage consumption. It also features a built-in microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot supporting up to 128 GB for local edge storage, keeping footage secure even if network connectivity drops.

Where is this dome camera best suited for installation?

Encased in a robust, IK10 vandal-resistant and IP67 weatherproof enclosure, this camera protects against physical tampering, impacts, and severe environmental conditions. Combined with Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) capability, it offers flexible single-cable installation in building entrances, office hallways, retail spaces, and public facilities.
